For the record, God said it before Whitney Houston. He will always love you.
Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word
Malachi 1:1 - This is the message that the LORD gave to Israel through the prophet Malachi. 2 "I have always loved you," says the LORD.
Read - Malachi 1-2
What a way to end the Old Testament. A commitment of love from God (1:1) and a strong reminder to reciprocate. To revere (respect) God in how we act including how we give generously.
Lord, I will give my best to You.

The Covenant of marriage teaches us so much about our spiritual covenant with God (entered into through being Mended by Jesus). Malachi 2 teaches us that our worship is hindered when that marital covenant is not treated as holy. God warns us that unfaithfulness to our spouse is against His Will for ‘he hates divorce’. Divorce is the breaking of a Covenant and is a result of the Marring and Misleading of Sin and Satan. If faithfulness to that covenant matters to God and hinders our worship then how much more-so will unfaithfulness to our Covenant with Him put us in a spiritual desert?
