Our family of origin may speak much about our roots but, if it isn’t a great one, don’t let it hold you back from God’s Purpose for your life…Jesus didn’t!

Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word

Do not despise humble beginnings…even if it means you grew up on the wrong side of the tracks or that your family tree seems a little knotty.  God uses all kinds of backgrounds to mold and make each of us.  Don’t shy from it.  Embrace it.  The God who sees us sees you personally and did so before you were formed in your mother’s womb.  Own Him as your Father and all else will work itself out.

Lord, I will see that You are ultimately the Genesis of my family!

https://www.gotquestions.org/Jesus-genealogy.html  - Why are these two lists so different?

Yes, Jesus was pre-existent and even a part of the Creation work we read of in Genesis 1-2 and John 1.  Yet, Jesus was also fully man and had parents (Mary by blood and Joseph by marriage).  Although his family line was full of the Marring of Sin, Jesus would be born of a virgin and filled with the Holy Spirit as to be the sinless and spotless sacrifice for us so that we may be Mended by His sacrifice.  Isn’t God good?!
