When sickness, struggle or sin bear down upon us or those whom we love, ask Jesus to intercede.  There may be times that the answer is no or not now but often we ‘have not’ because we ‘ask not’.  It is the power of God given through the Savior that can bring us back to health, wholeness and service.

Yield

Lord, I will bring my burdens to You instead of holding on to them.

Revelation

Obedient Service is fueled by the knowledge of God and the love we have for God (that first loved us).  However, sometimes that obedient service is limited.  This can happen by many factors.  In today’s text, we see a person become an obedient servant to Christ after receiving healing from the Lord.  We don’t know Peter’s mom-in-law’s spiritual state before or after this healing but we can see that when Jesus healed her, she recognized it and returned care towards Christ.
