3:16 Plan - Week 32 - Day 1 - Year 2 - Matthew 4:12, Mark 1:14, Luke 4:14-15, John 4:1-4

Jesus paid attention to timing, so should we.

Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word

Luke 4:14 - Then Jesus returned to Galilee, filled with the Holy Spirit's power.

Read - Matthew 4:12; Mark 1:14; Luke 4:14–15; John 4:1–4

Jesus told His mother that his time had not yet come in last week’s reading.  Now we see Him moving His ministry back up to Galilee due to the hostility from the Pharisees.  God’s timing was important even for God the Son…how much more so should we heed it?

Lord, I will go where Your Holy Spirit leads me.

Extra Discovery

This is one of the first examples of Jesus distancing Himself from the religious elite.  You can see it throughout the gospels.  A good example is in John 11:54.

Thankfully, looking at all four gospel accounts, we see Luke 4:14.  Jesus wasn’t  running from people.  He was running with the Holy Spirit’s Power towards His next place of ministry.  As a Christ-Follower, you have been given the Holy Spirit of God.  He indwells you and seeks to guide you in all things as you surrender to Him.  We call this being Morphed by the Spirit.  You can go out today in the power of God’s Holy Spirit.  Will you?
