Why is prophecy (God giving us insight into what is coming) important in the church?  Because our faith is bolstered by what God has done in the past we are able to place bold faith on what we can expect God to do in the future (Hope).  When God gives us a glimpse into those future things we can have more certainty, trust and faith in Him.

Yield

Lord, I will commit my way to You because of Your great love for me.

Extra Discovery

Read back to Mark 8:31-38 to see that Jesus faithfully taught on what was coming.

Revelation

The death of Christ was for the punishment of our sin but if He had stayed dead we wouldn’t have been Mended.  His Resurrection is what actually defeated sin for us and means we no longer have to be deceived, divided and destroyed by the Marring of that horrible curse.  We can now have the life that Christ rose to give us.  The same power that rose Jesus from the dead now lives in you if you follow Him and surrender to His Spirit.
