Say YES to God even when circumstances seem like a safe NO would be better.
Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word
Acts 20: 22 "And now I am bound by the Spirit to go to Jerusalem. I don't know what awaits me, 23 except that the Holy Spirit tells me in city after city that jail and suffering lie ahead. 24 But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus--the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.
Read - Acts 20
Paul ministers in multiple places and then begins to journey towards Jerusalem even though he knows that may be his toughest place of ministry yet. Jesus said that a prophet isn’t welcome in his hometown and it seems Paul will experience that. It can be hard to be a light in a place where you once were full of darkness but God can do amazing things through you if you will say yes to Him.
Lord, today I will say YES to You and Your will.
Ok, I can’t help it. If you had fallen from a window during Paul’s lengthy preaching session ‘You’d a cussed too’. Yes, that sounds just like Eutychus. You’re welcome.
When being Morphed by the Holy Spirit of God we surrender a measure of control with our life. We read in verse 22 that Paul was ‘bound by the Spirit’. Rather than being slaves to sin, the Mended follower of Christ is now empowered to serve God. We are bound to Him as our Master and wherever He leads we must go.
