Since we have been redeemed we are empowered to live a life of holiness rather than falling back into sin.  Since we were released from sin’s bondage, we can experience freedom in Christ and His grace.  As people that have been rescued, we can live with thanksgiving and serve God out of faithfulness rather than simply duty.

Yield

Lord, I will walk with the Spirit as my Master today.

Revelation

The trouble for the Mended follower of Christ is our flesh.  Although Christ has set us free from the curse of sin we still carry around a body of flesh and that body tends to drift towards its sinful memories rather than towards the freedom from sin that our Spirit and Soul experience in Christ.  Even with this hard truth, Romans 8:1 gives us joy in that ‘There is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ’.
