All in one setting, Jesus affirms Peter for coming to know who Jesus was and then rebukes him for attempting to get in the way of the Messiah’s plan.  Our challenge is to live with actionable faith that allows us to get behind Jesus instead of Jesus calling us to get behind Him.

Yield

Lord, I will make choices based upon knowing You are the Christ.

Revelation

Peter came to Know Jesus was the Messiah.  This Knowing came through experience but still had a huge element of faith.  We will never arise to a place where our Knowing is all ‘facts based’ on this side of eternity.

Jesus called the disciples to ‘Watch out for the leaven of some deceived groups’. If you grow to Know God you will begin to understand His direction even if the syntax isn’t clear. If you will trust that He loves you then you will not assume He has ill intent in the white space between His words. There is no need to be deceived nor divided if we will stay close to God through His Word.

The one constant in life is change.  Jesus does another powerful miracle (feeding 4000) but in many ways He does so differently (than feeding the 5000 before).  Different people group, different resources, different left-overs.  The same problem (hunger) is handled by the same power (God through Christ) with a different method.  May our lives of faith leave room for change!

Yield

Lord, I will leave my mind open to how You want to operate.

Revelation

To Know God is to Know that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55).  This means that He will never fit in our ‘box’.  He will do things different than we would…and that is a good thing.  As God Morph’s our Mindset let’s always keep ourselves ready to accept and embrace any change that He sees fit to enact.
